Plastral supplies a range of thermoplastic resins suitable for injection moulding, sheet and profile extrusion and blow moulding. The range includes standard, high impact and copolymer acrylic moulding granules, polycarbonate and polycarbonate alloys, PET and PETG, glass reinforced PET and PBT, PPS, stainless steel fibre conductive masterbatch. Applications range from automotive signal lighting, traffic management lighting, HID and commercial lighting, drinkware, injection blow moulded and blow moulded bottles, packaging, electrical fittings, and high temperature metal replacement.
With technically trained and experienced plastics technologists, Plastral functions more as a manufacturer’s representative than a distributor. Plastral has been the exclusive Australian and New Zealand distributor for a number of European, North American and Asian resin suppliers for many years.

Supplied in masterbatch form. Beki-Shield® stainless steel fibres are an excellent means to make thermoplastics, elastomers, rubbers, floor and wall coatings conductive for EMI shielding or ESD protective purposes.
Applications

Plexiglas® moulding compounds are thermoplastics based on polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA).
Applications
Clarity
Plexiglas® crystal clear moulding compounds provide the maximum possible light transmission, 92%.
Longevity
Abrasion resistance
Plexiglas® moulding compounds have excellent hardness and mar resistance.
Food contact approval
Plexiglas® moulding compounds meet the requirements of FDA and EEC food contact directives.
Certified quality
Plexiglas® moulding compound production and product quality is in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and ISO TS 16949:2002.
Range of grades
The range of Plexiglas® moulding compounds includes high and intermediate flow, automotive lens grades and colours, high heat resistance and impact modified, light diffusion, optical quality and non transparent exterior automotive grades.

Plexiglas® zk impact modified moulding compounds are suitable for extruding and coextruding sheet and profiles and injection moulding.

Moulding compounds with very good light diffusion at minimum light loss. Suitable for lighting lenses, point of sale display, advertising and decorative items.

Specialty moulding compounds of high optical purity for applications that call for particularly high transmission in long light paths.

Particularly suitable for moulding parts requiring high gloss class A finish, high heat deflection, abrasion and weather resistance.

Moulding compound that reflects heat rays directly at the surface, reducing heat buildup in exterior dark plastic components by 15 to 20%.

Cyrolite products are impact resistant thermoplastic moulding compounds that can be injection moulded, extruded, injection – blow moulded and extrusion blow moulded into medical applications.

Polycarbonate compounds covering a broad range of potential applications:
